Bali-Humas: When I inaugurated the Bale Agung building at that time, the building did not have any facilities. And now I visit this building, it looks so luxurious and large with various Balinese carved ornaments. With a building as good as this, it should not only be used as a place to sit, but this building must provide excellent service to the people seeking justice with zero Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism (KKN).

This was conveyed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Prof. Dr. HM Syarifuddin, SH, MH when reviewing the Bale Agung building of the Denpasar High Court on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Denpasar High Court building.

According to him, in addition to a good building, Human Resources must also be improved through work units with the predicate of Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM) and Integrated One-Stop Service (PTSP) so that the shared ideal of realizing a great Indonesian judiciary can be realized in real terms.

The total area of ​​Bale Agung Building is 1,086 M2, with the 1st floor designated as a car park and the 2nd floor with an area of ​​350.4 M2 which can accommodate 250 people to carry out meetings, coordination, socialization, etc. activities.

In 2021, as an initial stage, a grant was given from the Bali provincial government in the form of a multi-purpose building, which we then named the Bale Agung Building.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the Denpasar High Court, Dr. Wayan Karya, SH, M.Hum said that the presence of this multipurpose building is very useful in supporting service activities involving many parties, considering that the Denpasar High Court as the Appellate Court and also functions as the front guard (voorpost) of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia in the Bali area really needs a representative multipurpose building.

"Philosophically, Bali means Noble, Agung means Great. So everything that is Noble will be great and glorious. While this multi-purpose building is named Bale Agung. Bale in Balinese treasury is a place. So it can be symbolized that Bale Agung is a place where all the glory and nobility emerge in working to carry out obligations (Swadharma) to support the realization of the Supreme Judicial Body for the Nation and State," said Wayan Karya.

The visit was also attended by the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for Judicial Affairs, the Chief Justices of the Supreme Court Chambers, the Director General of the General Judicial Body, the Acting Governor of Bali, Dr. Ir. I wayan Koster, MM, the High Court Judges, the Achoc Judges, the Registrar and Secretary of the Denpasar High Court, as well as the chairman, deputy chairman, clerk and secretary of the District Courts throughout Bali, and other invitees.
